These people are close to me and offer a downgrade service. I am currently on 4.70 official and wondering what I would need to do after ordering their downgrade service in order to be able to use mod menus and such ONLINE on games like MW3 etc.
Thanks in advance!
Once you have installed a decent firmware, you will need to install a few things:
- The newest PSNPatch (4.70.06): You will need to use this program EVERYTIME you boot up your PS3. Always use this program before you go online. It will make your PS3 look like a normal/OFW PS3. When you do this, you reduce the chances of getting banned from PSN.

- The newest CCAPI (CCAPI 2.60 rev 3): This program establishes a connection between your PS3 and your PC. This means you can control your PS3 from your PC. This program is used for connecting RTM tools to your PS3, and it really is a must have!

- The newest multiMAN (v04.66.10): This program combines Open Manager, mmOS File Manager and AVCHD for an all in one solution. It allows users to run backups, watch AVCHD videos and manage there files. This is useful for playing games that are stored on your PS3 or external HDD as a backup, or to replace/change files that are located on your PS3's HDD.

Off course, there are many more good and useful applications. But, I think these ones are the most important.
One more advice: NEVER use homebrew applications (such as multiMAN) when you are online! This will result in a ban.
Have fun with your CFW
