you are on OFW, right? or is your system already jailbroken? if not you have to buy an E3 flasher to downgrade your PS3

I highly suggest going onto youtube to search up a guide on how to e3 flash your ps3 system, if you have no clue with opening up a ps3 & doing this, then I HIGHLY suggest sending the ps3 off to an expert to do it for you, you can find many downgrading services on Ebay. Hope this helps you.

Are you on a Official Firmware or a Custom Firmware right now?

If you're on CFW just use a 999 Downgrader and then install your desired CFW. If you're on a OFW PS3 then you have to use an E3 Flasher to downgrade it to 3.55 OFW, first look up if your PS3 model/version can be jailbroken because not all PS3's can be jailbroken. Only the FAT ps3's and some version of the SLIM PS3's can be jailbroken.

Mine is custom firm ware.. Already jailbreak to 4.70
