Post: Please help! Corrupted data on CFW!
04-13-2015, 01:09 AM #1
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Okay so I was impatient while downloading some stuff and then I clicked on something and my ps3 froze, so I tried holding down PS3 button to reset, it didn't... and then, being the idiot I am, I switched off the PS3 from the plug...

Now every time I start the PS3 I get the message 'The system was not turned off properly the last time it was used...'
So I rebuilt the database and restored file data thing in safe mode and I still get this message every time I start the PS3. I clicked OK to the message but all it did was restart the PS3 and then show me the same message and this continued on and on until I press circle and exited, it then actually attempted to restore the PS3 but it didn't work because when the PS3 restarted I got the message again.

So I keep getting this message and I know something is corrupt, what do I do?

If I reformat my PS3, I don't have any backups or anything... would I lose my CFW? And should I instead go to 3.55 CFW/OFW and reformat from there and so I can instill QA toggle thing like when you first install CFW?

Please help

PS3 keeps showing 'The system was not turned off properly...' every time I start PS3, if I reformat do I lose CFW??

Can anyone kindly do step-by-step tutorial please?

Thank you in advance.

BTW, I'm sorry if thread is in the wrong place!

I JUST realised this is in the wrong place! I'll repost this thread in the other section, can a moderator kindly delete this? I'm not sure how to. Sorry.

Just reinstall the CFW from safe mode. If still occurs then reformat. You don't lose CFW if you reformat hdd. It just removes everything but the firmware from the hdd.

I found the solution bro. Can you remember what you were installing/downloading/updating when you switched it off from the plug? If you can remember the game, then delete the entire game on a file manager like Multiman and restart PS3 -> should solve corrupted data thing.

this is fixable, we just need to identify the correct pup file you need to use.
