I then patched it using the validator

put on microsd and into flasher.

As it was installing i got an error due to the clip not being installed properly.

I have tried possibly almost every solution to try and fix it, including putting the original dump back on the ps3.

I then turned the console on and i get black screen with no hdd activity etc...

I'm unsure as to what i should do.

please help :S


Console was in fully working order before i attempted to downgrade...

When the console was last on it was currently on 4.66 ofw.

writing to the flash with a clip is going to be hit and miss, keep trying. give us some details from the logs, what flasher ? obviously e3 + NOR

E3 Flasher And Nor. I've solder SBE to NOR on motherboard then flash fun my original backup that validates 'Ok' onto the ps3.

Still nothing as of now.

It so silly i've tried every guide on the web so far. Now i'm having to relate to the community for help.

It's a downgradable one for sure... I checked the original backup in a tool and it said ok at the bottom, tried it in another tool and said i had 53 danger errors.

i then patched it within the tool that said i had 53 errors and validated it again. I got the pass mark.. I'm now flashing the patched one on the ps3 now...

what does the log say about the flash, where is it failing.

and what code are you getting on the e3 diag lights.

It flashes to the console fine. I used a C clamp to hold it in place solidly. I check the logs after each procedure i do and everything is ok. I'm beginning to this that this is a permanent brick and that the only way to fix it would be to replace the nor chip on the console. Which i'm not willing to do at this moment in time.

what exactly does the ps3 do now?

It turns on.. but thats about it. I get no sound, display or HDD activity.
