I was just wandering if in recent years there has been any way to solve this and be able to play them. Has anyone got either working?

Nope sorry dude battlefront 1 and 2 are not on ps3 ( i dont think, dont follow these games) If not it will never be possible as the game will need to be compiled to run on ps3 and no one other than game companys have dev ps3's.
