(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hi there NGU,

I'm wondering if anyone out there can give me either a basic or a comprehensive list of compatible External HDD that will work for formatting into FAT32 format for PS3 in order that i may put games on it, and play them from the external HDD.......Any insight would be most welcome. Hopefully trying to purchase an external today if possible. Thanks.

i think its 4 gigs but yeah
so i can do it from windows 8 no problem then?
So if I do it from my pc with windows 8, can i just make one giant partition and do the whole 2tb in fat32 without issue?
Or would it be better to do like a 1tb partition. im using a jailbroken ps3 with multiman and rebug btw.

Don't kno as I don't use windows 8. But if it let's you format it to fat32 it should let you write partitions. It will write any size file from your PS3 onto fat32. I fully formatted all 1.77TB to fat32, and use it on my PC to put movies on it and PS2 iso's no problem. Not many files are over 4GB. But it's up to you, it's your external.

Yeah I'm doing the 1tb partition currently and I tried putting a PSX game on the external and it runs it's just the sound is very crappy. It doesn't have issues when I run it from the internal. Wonder why
