Nope. The infection only lasts untill you quit the game, go to main menu or do what you did. Quit the game.

Yeah, what HooliganMoDz is saying is how it is. You can be infected by a different player and you can use the infection to unlock a CFG menu for MW2, however once you enter the main menu, quit the game or turn of the ps3 the infection will go away and you will needed to be infected again once you start up the game again. There is also no way that you can get a permanent CFG because you have an OFW ps3.
