Both r just fine, remember FAT32,,, or there is a cheaper way, if u have a external hard drive, u can open it,,,,, take the small bored on top, put it on the top of the ps3's hdd, connect a SATA cable (i dont know what they call it) from the hard drive, and connect the other port ( the USB one) to the pc. Correct me if i am wrong guys !

When i format my hdd what will i loose.

Everything but the firmware installed.

So i would only have to install the pkg.files
