I personally would suggest you get rebugs latest firmware dude. But if you want simple i suggest you stick to cex and get habib's latest firmware.

i would recommend rebug 4.65.2 or 4.70

Is there stuff you can't do on DEX that you can do on CEX?

I will go to the SIMPLE differences,,,

There is two ways attaching tools to the ps3, one wireless (CCAPI) and the other ethernet cable (TMAPI)
U can use CCAPI for both DEX and CEX , but u cant use TMAPI , on CEX.
U will not have the debug settings ( which i dont think that u will be using) on CEX, or SOME DEX FM.

If i was u, i would take CEX it is easier, simpler , and smooth,,, correct me if i am wrong in anything guys ,, glad i helped
