You are mixing up Downgrading

E3 flashing.... Downgrade....Jailbreak... Call it what you will. I prefer flashing, is extracting the nor bios with a flashing device e3 flasher etc.. modifying it then "flashing" it back onto the ps3 in order to install cfw.

This is the ONLY way to install cfw on a ofw ps3 with firmware higher than 3.55

Downgrading while on cfw is what you do to get to a lower cfw.

PS3 needs to be qa flagged to reset syscon

Before you start disable any spoofers if you have any installed & remove any game disc from BD drive, use right usb port for installs

Steps:

(1) Install 3.55 Rogero Downgrader RSOD

(2) Install Toggle qa package & run it,ps3 will beep & reboot,then do the button combo to qa flag ps3

(3) Install Rogero v3.7 3.55 CFW (Must be installed from recovery menu) option 6 system update.

(4) Install any cex cfw you want.....

(5) Enjoy your amazing PS3 & play a game
