(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I know that you are suppose to use progskeet or Tennsy++ 2.0. Is that all the materials that are needed? If not what else do I need to successfully downgrade the PS3. It is a fat CECHGxx. It has ylod so I just want to downgrade to extract the cid from it for future use. Pointing me into the right directions would be helpful.

I also use the heat gun method with electronic flux and new paste and have never had issues with my three fats afterwards. I've never done the oven method but see that it works from the many users on here that go that route. I know two people that ruined their MB by baking it, but that's not to say they did it right. They both work and they can both be bad if done improperly can't we just agree upon that and stop the never ending war about it.

Yes, to the correct temp in an industrial "oven". Noobies who are trying to reflow their boards end up completely messing it up by baking it in a home oven. Heat guns, if use correctly, actually extend the times between your next ylod. Ive fixed way more boards then you probably have, so I know exactly what I am talking about here ;p

i have heard more horror stories about heat guns than i have oven baking, but ill take your word for it considering your reputation. i have only done 93 oven bakes.
