Post: Please Help Noob CID Questions
06-21-2015, 04:34 PM #1
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hi sure enough I have been banned from GTA Online but can still access the PSN, so I have just purchased a CID (not from this site) to get back on GTA Online and soon after quickly received it. However am I not supposed to receive a PSID as well or does this not need changing?

Also I know i need to use CCAPI to change the CID, do I just do this straight after the console has booted up and then sign into PSN? Which is the better method "set current idps" or "set boot idps"?

And finally my original CID was only banned from GTA Online, so i am hoping that this is just a temporary ban, so how do ensure that I keep my original CID? Do I need to take a copy? if so I cannot find it anywhere to copy.

Sorry if these are noob questions, a quick response would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Glitch

The reason I was banned was down to my own stupid fault, I decided to stream a modded lobby on twitch and let me PSN been seen haha and after 3 days some one grassed me up. Here is the R* forum post: You must login or register to view this content.

Do a barrel roll!
the PSID is unique to each account, every different account on your ps3 has a different PSID. Console ID is what is used to sign into PSN. If just your console id is banned you can still play on that account but you need a new console id, but if you are banned on both, you need a new account and to change your console id. It would be better if you used "set to boot ids" so you don't have to type in the Console id everytime you turn on your ps3. and use psn patch to see you original console id, but if your not permanently changing the console id theres no need for that.

Yes you want matching IDPS n PSID, the guy above is wrong about each acc having different PSID's. You will get both IDPS's banned from Sony because the PSID is matching to the other CID, making to them look as if both consoles have been hacked/modded. It won't happen right away but will happen within a few days.

Nothing you said is at all correct other then using PSNPatch to see your real ID.

Thanks for the reply's. Unfortunately I only received a CID from the seller and have already signed in using the new CID. Does this mean I have just set off a "flag" somewhere? Oh and I am using a brand new PSN account with the new CID if this matters? Thanks Glitch

Make sure you don't share your CID or PSID with anyone, especially since you payed good money for it. You shouldn't get banned otherwise, unless you go crazy modding.

Hopefully, I just hope the seller honours his word and they truly are private, he is an admin over at another well known forum, so hopeful he will. Once again thanks guys. Should I change the title to solved no? Is this something that is practised on this forum?

It does raise flags to sony. Mismatching ID's will get you banned. Sometimes it takes longer, it all depends on what SNE is working on at the time or in the following days.
