Post: Ps3 GPU problem?

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hello ngu.
One of my cfw recently started acting up and being weird.. It has this black and white checkerboard kind of thing on the screen then it freezes.. I think it's the gpu thats broken or something becuse the ps3 is flashed so it's been open before, anyway i've noticed that if i leave it turned off for a few hours it can be used for 1-2 minutes before it freezes, witch makes me belive that it's the gpu becuse the ps3 works when the gpu is cool and it seems to freeze once it gets hotter.. I have tried applying new thermal paste to it and i've formated the hard drive and tested all the display outputs(Not that really should of mattered..)

Any thoughts about this?
Here is a video for you so you can see what i'm talking about.

Have you tried Rebuilding System Database from the Recovery Menu. I've never seen this before, but I would try a couple options in the recovery menu.

It's a hardware issue not a software, there's nothing you can really do if his gpu is gone.

The rsx chip could be fried bur i think the solder points under the sinks have cracked or just melted.
