I had this same issue. Find a 3.55 OFW Update file and install that. It should work. From there, install Kmeaw's 3.55 CFW. QA Flag, then install any 4.x CFW you would like.

Exactly what Kilam said, if you need any help with doing any of the steps just quote me and I'll help you. I suggest you use youtube though as it's easier to watch someone do it than be told what to do.
