(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Before I begin this thread, please note that my *original* CID is banned, and has been banned for two-three years now. And i'm on 4.70.1 D-REX using ControlConsole 2.60 Rev4 to set my CID.

My IRL friend recently gave me his CID (working) and when i try to sign in it gives me the error code "8002a224".
After spending hours looking for a solution, it said that I either mistyped the CID or it's banned: which is not the case.
I have his PS3 here, and his can go online. I took the same CID and set it to my console (current/boot) with ControlConsole 2.60, but when I set it, i still get that error when I try to sign in.
The CID is NOT banned, and it is NOT typed incorrectly. I already tried going into rebug toolbox to set my CID to CEX (87) and it did not work.
Some people said it was the region code of my CID. So, I changed it from "000000010084" to "000000010087" although that did not work.

In debug settings, i have the following settings (just in case)

NP environment: np
release check mode: development mode
boot mode: system software mode
network settings for debug: single settings

[Why am I getting the error code 8002a224?] [yes, the CID is 32 char's, so don't ask any dumb questions please. no, i didn't mistype it, so don't ask]

Changing the cid itself will make it not useable. It could be the region, but Id also try a cid changer pkg to see if that works for you. If not, it could actually be banned as soon as you signed in.

Right... I noticed that changing the CID region didn't work. As i said, i have my friends PS3 right here. I used the CID and he signed in fine with it. But i can't. So it's something to do with my PS3 (not the CID).

We used the same computer to change the PS3's CID. (Control Console). We just disconnected and connected to different PS3's.
Since That didn't work, we tried it on separate computers and that also did not work. I've tried over 5 CID changing pkg's.

the error code means an invalid cid. Cids aren't region locked so it must be something you're doing if it worked on a friends ps3, There's no reason for the actual console to be at fault.
