Ok so I logged on to my PSN account( well at least tried to ) and I get a message saying that my account was banned, I automatically assumed that it was a console ban, but when my brother attempted to log in it was successful.
On July 10th, 3 days before I knew about anything, I got an email saying:
Notice:Unauthorized or pirated software has been detected on your PlayStation®3 system. This use has violated the terms of both the "System Software License Agreement for the PlayStation®3 System" and the "Terms of Services and User Agreement" for the PlayStation®Network/Sony Network Services and its Community Code of Conduct provisions. As a result, your Sony Entertainment Network account has been permanently banned and access to PlayStation®Network and Sony Entertainment Network services through your PlayStation ®3 system has been terminated permanently.
If they detected that I had Unauthorized/Pirated software then wouldn't it be a console ban, People say that you have to wait a day or 2 before they ban your console and it has now been 5 days, unless they weren't able to get my CID. I have my CID set with CCAPI and I think that's why. The reason is because whenever I set it with CCAPI, PSN patch can't figure out what the current ID applied to the console so its just shows it as 32 zeros and the same goes for other jailbreak apps.
If that is the case then does that mean you can dodge a console ban by setting your CID with CCAPI and just get off with a account ban, if so then I recommend that people at least try.
There's no dogging a cid ban. Sony take a note of all your details including IP, CID, PSID and more every time you sign in you need a valid cid to sign in.
