Post: Multiple Issues

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hello everyone,

First of all, I'm new to the forum, so I'm sorry if I posted this in the wrong place, but my problem have multiple aspects so I wasn't sure.
So feel free to redirect the thread or tell me and I'll re-open it in the correct section.

So here goes.

I have a PS3, on Official Firmware (Version 4.75).

I am trying to edit a ps3 save file, my offline multiplayer profile for CoD : Ghosts, in order to get more teeths.
I know the online profile is stored on the servers and not on the ps3, but the offline profile is.
I have read around a LOT and I just can't get it to work. Here is what I do.

I copied two saves from Ghosts on a USB stick, and then on the computer.
Both are the same profile, but one with 15 teeths and the other with 10 teeths.

I installed BruteForce Save Data, loaded the profile settings from a Param.sfo file included in the saves.
Console ID wasn't entered in global.conf because I couldn't find it. I DID find a 32-digit hex number in offset 140 of the param.sfo file, but I read that it wasn't the Console ID anymore.

After loading the profile, I decrypted both file with BruteForce, and Verified PFD, all OK.
Then with HxD I compared both files, and found the 0F(15) to 0A(10) value in the 82F0 offset (Column 02).
I edited one of my saves and I replaced 0F to something like FF. I saved.
Now I re-verify the PFD, and it tells me that the File Key Hash has failed.
I did not find anything to fix this. So I moved along. I re-encrypted the file.

I now compared the md5 of the file BEFORE the modification, and AFTER the mod, and it is the SAME. So I don't understand the error.

Anyway, after re-encrypting the files, I click on rebuild with current profile (Full), to resign it. I put it back on the USB drive, I re-upload it on the ps3, AAAAAAND *drum roll* it says the file is corrupt !

So here are the questions.
1 - Is not pointing out the console ID in global.conf actually changes anything ?
2 - Is the 140 offset or the Param.SFO the Console ID ?
3 - If it isn't, is it possible to get my console ID using an Official Firmware ? I am not really warm at the idea of using a custom one.
4 - Is there anything I can do to fix the File Key Hash error or is it normal/irrelevant
5 - Am I forgetting something/Doing something wrong ?
6 - Any tips or suggestion ?

I appreciate your time and any help you could give me. I don't mind working for results because I figured that even if it takes 6 months to solve the issue, it will still be faster than getting the teeths the legit way, so yeah...

Thanks in advance.

No..it was possible until ofw 4.66 but since u r now on latest.. I m afraid e3 flasher is ur only choice

I see.but the E3 Flasher is no option, because I have a SuperSlim PS3.
So I guess I'll stay open for suggestions but for what I can see I'm pretty much screwed.

No, you don't need the console id in order to decrypt/encrypt the save. Don't listen to the other guy :p
Anyhow the offline profile data for Ghosts has a checksum, which is a file check in order to determine if the data has been tampered with. I've released a checksum fixer for Ghosts, look through my threads.

Also I saw your PM it's just that I couldn't answer at the time. I decrypt and encrypt using a library that I made that allows me to make programs. I code in C# (CSharp), not sure if you're familiar with that programming language.

1 - The console_id doesn't need to be entered in order to decrypt/encrypt a save.
2 - At offset 0x140 in the PARAM.SFO is the account_id
3 - There was a way to get it not long ago, but you don't need it (Look above)
4 - I don't even think that error matters, I could be wrong though.
5 - I have no idea.
6 - Try getting a games.conf file that has the disc_hash_key.

You decrypted entire encryption algorithms using C sharp ? That must have took a while. Anyway thanks for the quick reply, I'll try the checksum fixer.
Why would I need an updated games.conf ?

EDIT : Tested, without the games.conf, it works, man I can't thank you enough for that checksum fixer.
