Haha well if you would like any information I would be glad to help if I can.

I believe that the features you asked about are not exactly important to most users but to the ones who it benefits are people like myself with a PS3 without native backward compatibility along with a few other things.

I do like having the options there to be able to use them but as I said most people wouldn't use them or don't understand what they do.

Well that one is easy.

A plug in is basically a .sprx file which I am certain you will have seen about this forum for things like mod menus and things of that nature.

Each plug in can be installed in different ways.

For example mod menus generally need to placed in the following folder.

dev_hdd0/tmp

And then you would need to replace the EBOOT with one for your region with the plug in attached to it for it to function.

However this is not always the case.

If for example you decide you want to use VSH PRX Loader which is a home brew for running plug ins then you would need to place the files in to the directory of that so it would be like this.

/dev_hdd0/game/PRXLOADER/USRDIR/

However with the above method you need to create a .txt file called "boot_plugins" and place that in the following place. Within the .txt file you would need to add the path of the plug ins for it to function I believe there is a limit of about 6 plug ins for VSH PRX Loader.

/dev_hdd0/

Seeing as this is going to be a long post I am posting a link to another site which does offer a more in depth answer to your question along with several links to some plug ins.

Rebug mode allows you to change your XMB type between retail and debug, and also it's used to spoof the firmware to a higher version.
