Launch CCAPI on your PS3, choose the uninstall option.
Install the latest CCAPI.
Follow the steps I've mentioned in the previous post

well figured out the issue....i was on rev3...rev 3 doesnt have 4.70 dex support..got rev5 and puff worked...thanks for all the replies and supprt..

So now I'm on dex. Ccapi connects just fine. But on target manager it shows and connects to my target. But my rtm tools won't connect to target

Oh, fam, that's a completely another topic.
You'll need a wired PS3, reset mode set to system software mod in Target Manager, network setting for debug set to single setting in debug options and release check mode set to development mode.
Those are just the usual first steps you'd have to take to RTM on Dex through tmapi.

Since you can connect to your PS3 through Target Manager, I take it you're all set.
Make sure to have your debug eboot in the game's folder as well.
Then you should be fine and everything would work.

If the Tool can connect, but won't attach (DEX), either your debug settings aren't properly set, a bad debug eboot or the tool is shite (forgive my french) and is coded wrong.

see my issue is that i can connect on target manager but none of my tools will connect via tmapi.. im on dex and i was rtming before. but after installing ccapi rev 5 i cant connect any of my tools via tmapi

I'm don't think CCAPI is the issue here.
We need to attract people with more experience.

Try to put it in dual mode on debug settings

Make sure you are booted into System Software Mode and like the above user said dual mode.
