As long as you are not signed in while in Homebrew apps, you should be fine. I delete mine from the Multiman File Manager.

I can see how being offline while accessing homebrew apps can prevent you getting banned. But why would it make a difference to me deleting files safely? I only want to know how to delete files safely without corrupting my hard drive.
