Post: How to play ps1 and ps2 backups on ps3 cfw

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hey guys, I've been trying to figure this out for a while now and this will be my last attempt..
I want to play my ps1 and ps2 backups on my ps3, I managed to convert a few into pkg and they work OK. But how do I get them to work through multiman in iso format?
I've read something about converting them to. Bin but nothing works. The game will show up but won't boot.
If anyone can help It would be much appreciated

I'm on 4.70.1 rebug cobra
Ps3 slim
Thanks

What the hell? You don't have to convert anything on rebug with cobra activated.
Simply copy your desired game .ISOs over to the folders according to their platforms.
PS1 images go to /dev_hdd0/PSXISO
PS2 to /dev_hdd0/PS2ISO and so on and so forth.
Then simply mount them in webMAN from XMB

Skater007 I've tried that, after I mount the ISO and start from xmb I get black screen. I've also tried converting to enc.bin or something as I saw that in another forum. Are all games compatible? Or is It a very select few? I've tried takken tag tournament 2, crash bash...

Tekken Tag 2? That's a good one :troll:
It's a PS3 title, so simply unpack that 17gb huge ass iso and place its contents in the games folder.

Not all PS2 games are compatible though, but most of what I've tried on my slim worked without a hitch (Tekken 4, 5 etc...)
Make sure it's a proper .ISO and remember to have cobra enabled in Rebug Toolbox
It also won't hurt to have a disc in your BD-Drive (well, back in the day at least)

EDIT: Btw, Converted PS2Classics can be only played on CEX, but .ISOs however, can be played on both CEX and DEX (REBUG only, so, either REX or D-REX, it wouldn't matter)

Sorry I meant tekken tag ps2. I managed to get it to boot but it's slow and unplayable, would this be one that isn't compatible? All of the ps1 isos I've tried boot to black screen or just return me to xmb.

Also is anyone on rebug? I Downloaded all my purchases from the title store preview but recently my 'my game's folder disappeared and I had to reinstall the firmware - which then corrupted my hard drive so I had to reformat.. Anyway the title store preview no longer works. Does anyone else have this problem?
Is it worth me trying to find a fully backwards compatible phat ps3? I'd imagine it plays all backups?
