I own ps3 slim - 120GB with REBUG 4.65.2 installed.
I have freezing issues for a few months now (used to work for like 10-15 mins max without a freeze), it got to a point where it even freeze on the recovery menu when i tried to rebuild the database\restore file system.

When I say freeze, I mean that the screen is displaying weird colors, can't do anything etc, i am not certain that the PS3 is actually stuck or it's just something with the graphic card.

Any idea what can cause it? I'm assuming it's hardware related since it freezes on the recovery menu.

*Tried to rebuild DB and restore file system a few times when it didn't freeze on the recovery menu.

What temps does the PS3 get to?

Yea watch out what temperatures it gets to. Maybe put on new thermal paste and give the ps3 a bit of a dust clean out

Thanks guys, replaced the thermal paste and the PS is running good now with 49c temp.
