From downgraders to all kinds of cfw habib, reggero, Rebugs. Iv also tried the newest ofw 4.75 but I cannot get any to read or register it always says applicable data not found pleas put 4.70or newer on media device. And I have swapped it with 3diffrent hard drives pls help

Is the PS3UPDAT.PUP in the right folder? PS3/UPDATE
also make sure the usb drive is formatted in fat32 and that your bluray drive is in correctly, you cannot install firmware without it.
If all else fails, try another USB.

Yes I've done two already with the same usb and same downgrader. With no problems this one is causing me grief I even swapped hard drive to another jb ps3 and formatted the hard drive to that one but when I try and put it in this one it won't read or register I will pull sort the ps3 and check the blue ray drive thanks

So ur saying even though the usb drive worked fine on 2 ps3 it could still be a usb problem I've even used the usb after attempting this on,e, to restore the hard drive on another jb ps3. If that's the case I will but a new usb and try

Try installing '999 Downgrader' via recovery i had the same problem and this fixed it.

maybe u were on dex..try the official dex downgrader !

Thanks but it was cex I was on. I've tried the regerro 3.55 down grader I used the Rebug 3.55 down grader tried like 4diff cfw cex n dex and I even tried ofw 4.75 from Sony site. [

Hey thanks for the help guys got it going. Had to adjust the clip to the blue ray drive cord the use habib 999 downgrader.
