(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hi there first of all i am going to put my system info to answer any questions

System Information:

  • Model Slim
  • On DEX but was CEX
  • CFW REBUG 4.70.1 D-REX

When I installed CCAPI Rev 5 it said successful and rebooted. However, Once it rebooted it did not show my xmb. Therefore, i was following a tutorial to fix this but when i selected system update it froze on the recovery menu with the list of 6. So i tried Restore File System and Rebuild database to see if that would fix the freezing but it didn't. So I am wondering how to fix my problem but without losing CFW. Can anybody Help ???

Try Restoring your firmware? This Usually fixes these type of issues

Hello.

I had similar issue when i was messing with xmb files, to do custom icons and such. Recovery mode options would freeze me, and so on. The only solution for me, was to pull out the HDD, and format it through my computer. You can also do this by placing your HDD inside another PlayStation 3, then format it from there.

You will not loose your firmware, but you will loose all the files on it. Once done, put it back in your CFW, and it will say incorrect firmware or so. Once it says that, you'll install 4.70.1 D-REX again. If you want to do this and need help or have any questions, quote me away!
