Ok sorry lol I was so tired when I wrote that.... ok so I have Gtav on disc and I went to multiman and pressed square and copied it too the PS3 hdd....
When it finished it had SPLIT written in red where it should of said HDD on the game title???

I've had this issue before and I'm not sure how I fixed it, it was a while back. I think I messed with the settings, but here is a thread, see if You must login or register to view this content. helps at all.

I believe it could be one of two things

• Multiman is unable to read the backup
  
• The backup location is split across two storage platforms, USB and HDD (as you didn't have enough space on your HDD)
  

I have a 320gb hdd in my jb PS3 with nothing on it except my home brews and the external hdd is 750gb with black ops 2 and payday on it.... Black ops 2 and payday I downloaded but they ain't working right either.... When I formatted the external hdd was it suppose to have partitions in there? Also Can you explain how the games run off the external? I get how they run but do any part of the game store on the internal hdd?

I think my folder settings are wrong in multiman, file destination or usb source ??? is there anyway I can check this? Can I compare it to something to MAKESURE everything's going where it's suppose to be ?

I had this be for I was on rebug 4.70 and had cobra mode enabled in rebug tool box when tried to copy any game to he'd it would get to like 90% and say failed and I would have a split copy so I deleted the game disabled cobra mode and game successfully installed
