(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I have been trying to connect ccapi to the ps3 for about 2 now with no luck , i haven't been on ps3 in about 3 weeks now but it was working fine before

1) I installed CCAPI over both on my ps3 and pc
2) the ip address is the same on both ccapi and ps3

Any suggestion ?

I do downgrades & sometimes I cant get the ccapi to connect right away. My solution was this, I installed virtual router on my pc & connect the ps3 to that & it connects right off. then I reset the network setting back to the router & ccapi connects perfect every time from that point forward... Seems trivial but it works for me....

Thread has been moved to PS3 Mods Questions and Inquiries as it is a PS3 Modding Related question. Also you will find a very good response here.

This sort of problem is always anoying and ususally end up being something obvious.

I suggest you start eliminating things to reduce what could be the cause. The most obvious would be your firewall, turn it off. If you have any antivirus apps that also have firewalls turn them off. Try to connect. Next I would unplug the PS3 from the router and put a cable directly to your laptop, this eliminated the router. Any cable will work cross over or not. Reboot everything, laptopo first.
If it still will not connect and the PS3 is showing that it is connected to your laptop than it is a install problem. This is unlikely as it was working before.
I am guess it is the firewall as updates to windows, etc. can change those settings.
