(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Yo, I got a ps3 just sitting in my closet collecting dust, and the reason being is because it would shut off after 5 min. because it gets too hot. Is there an option somewhere so I can turn this auto-shutdown off? I could care less for this ps3, I just want my friend to have a cfw. It will probably melt by doing this, but fuck it, you know? I've heard this is possible, I just don't know how it's done. Thanks!

I've replaced thermal paste 8 times on this ps3. I already have another jb. This one is just sitting here collecting dust and not being used. I just want it to not turn off on its own. I don't care if it melts lol

You could try running it with the top cover off and blowing it out if its still no good sounds like it may need a reball

my jailbreak ran hot & shut off just like yours, so I drilled holes in the case on top where the fan is so it could suck more air... it runs nice now... low 60's

Maybe your fan is broken causing a cooling problem

Go to WebMAN and go scroll all the way down and raise up your fan speed and it should cool down and never over-heat ever again. Need any help PM me or quote. It's pretty simple

If you give us more information we might be able to help you better. Or you can try taking off the cover, turning the system on and see what isn't working.

But from what you've told us I'm thinking it might be a fan problem, either it not working correctly or at all. But it could be any number of reasons as well without looking at it or hearing it in person or in video.

Have you gotten a new fan for it?
