I would buy a 3.55 OFW PS3 as it can help you get started by learning how to jailbreak after doing the hard part. All you would need is to update to 3.55 CFW and after, you can QA Flag and go up to any 4.xx CFW you want. It is your choice.

Well 1st part is you need to either buy a 3.55 OFW PS3 or if you have a ps3 that is downgradable, you can buy an E3 Flasher which will be used to downgrade your console. That's the 1st thing to do then if you do either of those just let me know and I will assist you further.

I recommend to purchase a pre modded console if you are new to it all it is much easier. Downgrading takes quite a bit of time and sometimes it can be difficult.

Purchase a 3.55 OFW from ebay or something. That way you can install what YOU want onto your system and do everything how you want it to be.
