Post: Multiman issue reading NTFS
09-17-2015, 08:23 AM #1
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); so was wondering if anyone had a solution to problem as i have looked everywhere else. So i have an external hdd and i am trying to transfer data through multman. The device has been formatted to NTFS and i have placed the USB.CFG in my multiman folder with my hdd details. so when i plug it and scan for ntfs system by pressing start and triangle it says please wait then finishes loading. Then nothing happens no device in my root folder it does create a new folder called Pvr_usb000 or something along the lines of that but that just leaves me in a loading directory but when it opens its empty. I know i could just use FTP but some of the files are quite big and take a long time to transfer.

So yeah is anyone else having this problem?

i am currently on 4.70 rebug d-rex not sure if that's relevant though

Thread has been moved to PS3 Mods Questions and Inquiries as it is a PS3 Mods related question.

I suggest using FAT 32 file system for your external. I have tried to use NTFS and it never works with multiman. If certain files are too big then you can use a file splitter for those certain files.

It has a 3.0 usb cable. Do you mean a power cable which plugs into a wall socket? if so no, when plugged into the PS3 the led does light up

Yes fat32 works I saw this method but I was in doubt, does the file merge back together once in the external drive/on the PS3?

Well use the file splitter then put the files into a folder on your external and cut and paste the folder onto your ps3 and it will merge the files back. That's what I did everytime. I'm sure there's an easier way but I never bothered trying.
