I recommend going on ebay and buying a 3.55 ofw slim PS3. Buy one of those and there will be plenty of people on here willing to help and walk you through setting things up
If you do go the route I suggested you should do some research and read these threads, these are the same threads I read when I got mine and they helped a ton.
