Re-install the version of cfw you have through Recovery Mode

Step 1: Turn off your Playstation 3.
Step 2: Hold the Power button down. The system will turn on and turn off once again.
Step 3: Once the system has been shutdown, press and hold the Power button again until you hear 2 consecutive beeps.
Step 4: When you hear the 2 beeps take your finger off power button. You will be prompted to plug in your controller via USB and then press the PS button. The Recovery Menu will pop up.
Step 5: Plug the USB stick on the right port
Step 6: Choose option 6 "System Update"

Try installing the 3.55 downgraded dex or Cex depending on you cfw

Edit : make sure there is no disc in ps3

Just reinstall the firmware you are on it will get the original ps3 files.

K But I tried a different filmware im on rebug 4.70.1 d-rex I tried 4.75 d-rex it updates but it only gets to 98% then it just stays I waited like two us just wont update
