Hey Demeetrii....i am new at this too and I have been researching ...i found this.....

See if your PS3 is capable of even downgrading....

Where you see the “xx” part below you will see numbers on your ps3.
so the image above shows CECH-4003A but it will be in the below table as CECH-40XX the last 2 numbers do not affect whether it can be downgraded or not so we don’t need to list that part.

Compare yours as I did my console.....which is a CECH-3001A (runs out of the room in a drunken rage*)...lol

CECH-20xx(OK To Downgrade) NOR = Teensy++ 2.0 / Progskeet / E3 Flasher

CECH-21xx (OK To Downgrade) NOR = Teensy++ 2.0 / Progskeet / E3 Flasher

CECH-25xxA or B (with date code [0C] [0D] [1A] are known to be ok) NOR = Teensy++ 2.0 / Progskeet / E3 Flasher
ALL THE REST(DOUBLE CHECK THIS with MinVerChk from HERE IF IT SAYS 3.55 OR BELOW YOU CAN DOWNGRADE TO 3.55
IF IT SAYS 3.56 THEN YOU MUST GO TO THE LATEST CFW DO NOT GO TO 3.55
IF IT SAYS 3.60 THEN YOU MUST NOT DOWNGRADE AT ALL OR YOU WILL BRICK THE CONSOLE)

CECH-30xx (CANNOT Downgrade)

CECH-40XX (CANNOT Downgrade)


Doesnt look promising ...but I am still digging since that thread was 3 years ago and all. just wanted to help.

They would sell your console id to someone whose console id is already banned. They will spoof their banned console id with your console id to unbanned their system and if they get banned again then you will also get banned too because that is your console id too.

It looks like the 3K and 4K consoles are not as easily hacked. I am sure there is some genius out there but I am sure they would charge 20K to do it.

HOWEVER... i did find this

Yeah i never knew that when sending it off haha but i didnt get banned for just over 3 months so whether he stole it, god knows but yes, anyone that reads my post, make sure to read HMTTKB's post too! Nice one

If im correct in saying, that can be downgraded. Im sure mines a 2003B model but have a look yourself just be on the safe side if you consider it. Also make sure that the person you're sending it off too has good feeback. Like the other guy who quoted my post said, a lot of people will steal you console id.

Well obviously people will say 100% which yeah thats awesome! But you got to be careful that, that 100% feedback is from people buying the downgrade not just the seller buying stuff off other people. People dont look at that, they see 100% feeback and think wow! But really that might be from him (the seller) receiving feedback from other sellers if you get me.
Its totally down to you but just be careful and don't get scammed
