The account may work,Just set the new CID and see if you're able to sign in..If it has the account has been banned then its banned and you'll need a new one.

When you try to sign it read if it says "system" or "account" if it was the account and system.. you need a new cid and PSN Accout

"Access to sony entertainment network from this system has been banned or temporarily suspended"

- this was the message. Entered my new cid and the account I got banned on works fine (system ban). Would you recommend using the same PSN account I got banned on or create another for safety precautions?

I still use my accounts that were under a system ban and they are working fine. I suggest you make a back-up account though just incase the account does get banned
