CFW: REBUG D-REX 4.75.1

I'm looking for a fan speed controller homebrew since I don't want to overheat my PS3 and get the YLOD.

What's the best fan speed controller and what do you recommend I keep the fan speed at?

Thank you!

Go into Rebug toolbox then enable cobra & webman.. PS3 will reboot

Then go into webman games/webman setup from xmb in game section where you would usually see your game disc icon.

Enable dynamic fan then set temps to what you want, i set min fan to 30%, look at the bottom for the short cuts.

Short cuts i use are Start & select to see temp, you can use this while playing, press the PS button then start n select,

Set fan max temp, select button + dpad ↕

You can use PS3ITA... to change your fan speed... However, I would suggest buying an external laptop fan to keep your PS3 cool...

What would you say I should put the max fan temp?

I don't like PS3ITA. It was giving me too much trouble back when I used it, and that's the whole reason I switched over to REBUG.

Why don't you buy a laptop fan... it's much better than altering settings..

Also to go along with what Smasher said, you have to make sure your ps3 is in a well ventilated area. Also if it's been a while I suggest opening up your PS3 and giving it a clean. Just some tips to keep the temperature down.
