I have new hard drive and have spent the past few hours trying to figure it out. I got into recovery mode and it tells me to install firmware 3.20 or higher. I attempted doing Rebug 4.70.1 and it goes to 99% and then stops. I have tried others and either get corrupted data or the same, it stops at 99%. I am lost and need help badly. I have tried to figure it out on my own by researching and watching videos but I am getting no where. I just need to know what I need to do. Thank you!

Try installing 3.55 OFW first then install 3.55 Kmeaw. After that, rebuild your database in the recovery menu. Then from there, go to 4.70.1 REX and follow You must login or register to view this content. tutorial to convert that to D-REX.

You say your on 4.70.1 Rebug but did not say if your on Rex or D-Rex?? You fixed it yet?

It still says data is corrupted. Tried multiple 3.55 ofw downloads also.



Dex is D-rex and Cex is Rex. I was on rebug 4.70.1 D-rex. No, its not

He should not try installing 3.55 ofw if his Lv2 & target are DEX, & you dont need idpset if your on Rebug cfw just use Rebug toolbox instead also idpset is not supported on 4.70 anyway

Jgood, try installing a 3.55 DEX Downgrader. If that doesn't work, try the Rogero Downgrader. Let me know if you need download links to any of these :p

My HDD fried itself. I have a new formated HDD in the ps3 now and it is telling me to update to 3.20 or higher. Everything I have tried either gets stuck on 99% install or it says corrupted data. I have NO rebug tool box. I have no XMB screen.
