ISSUE
im new to modding and i'm having and issue where my ps3 froze several times and my files are corrupted.....normally i can restore files then i'm all good ....but it's freezing at 9% of the restore, AND I CAN'T GET PAST IT.

QUESTION

At the safe mode screen can i choose reset system and not delete my mods.....i know not to restore default system or anything i'm just trying bypass the incomplete file restore to get back to playing, while maintaining my mods...

if someone can confirm this please help....i don't want to make bad matters worse......lol I think i made a booboo.

What CFW are you on?

You can restore default settings, you can do everything on the recovery menu. Nothing will cause you to lose your jailbreak. Restoring to default settings will erase the games and everything on the PS3, but you will still be jailbroken.

When you freeze, what exactly are you restoring to? Are you Restoring File System in the Recovery Menu?

im on Rebug 4.65......
i had a pattern of freezing which led me to restore files ....this always fixes the freezing .....but i always restored the files by do a quick method holding the power button then getting three beeps.....it always worked perfect.

this time while i play every time i shoot somebody i freeze....lol....after 5 times i decided to go to safe mode and restore file system the long way....but it stops at 9% lol....
so i wanted to bypass this by choosing another option called Restart Systemt.....i'm afraid the delete my mods.....

now i can't play until i complete the file restore. ....
lol I'm scared.

can i bypass this my choosing Restart System? and not delete anything.....

I would recommend reinstalling your CFW. That should fix the problems.

Also, is it 4.65.2 or 4.65.1?

And, is it REX or D-REX?
