Make a backup of all your game saves first... then once you get a better hard drive one preferably on 200gb or more place your new hard drive in your PS3 and you will have to restore it... you will not loose your Jailbreak...

It is possible to loose it if you mess up. DO the following:

1. Make sure there isnt a disc in the system. This is very important.

2. If you're on DEX then make sure you have a DEX firmware on your USB or this can lead to a brick.

3. Have the Firmware on USB and plugged into the ps3 when you have switched hard drives. Make sure the USB is plugged in before you turn it on.

4. When you get to the screen that has you update the system make sure you choose "Storage Media"

5. After that you should be good just setup the ps3 like normal Happy
