Post: Need help with one last problem

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hey guys so I had a problem before and a member of this community has guided me into the right direction for me to fix it, and I've ran into a last problem I have. Before I explain the problem I'll explain what system I'm on.

I'm on Rebug Rex ( converted to DEX using the toolbox, both kernel and target type say DEX and also says Firmware 4.75 DEX ).

Problem I'm having is that when I try to launch a game from MM ( also tried Irisman, same issue ) it blackscreens when using PSNPatch ( tried different versions of PSNpatch, all same problem ). When I try to boot it up without PSNpatch it works perfectly fine ( offline ofcourse ).

A strange thing is, dunno if it's supposed to be like this, but when I use PSNpatch and go back into the rebug toolbox it'll display my kernel as CEX and target as DEX though I can do DEX stuff just fine ( I can RTM with TMAPI, I can use debug EBOOTS, etc . . . ). Whenever I reboot my console it'll go back to full DEX on both.

Things I tried to no success :

-Different MM options -> BD, internal, external, etc . . .
-Setting debugging settings
-Switching rebug mode to normal
-Turning cobra and webman off
Etc . . . tried TONS of things. Problem seems to come of disabling CFW syscalls with PSNpatch . . . but could be wrong since I don't know anything about this stuff xD

Thanks in advance for all the replies !

PS : I've asked this before but I'm asking again so other people can give their oppinion on it. I'd like to stay on DEX so wouldn't it be better to go to another CFW or is Rebug REX ( or D-REX if that's what I'm on now that I converted to DEX . . . don't know xD ) the best ? I keep hearing things about ITA so I'm curious. If I should switch, which one to ? And what version ? Thanks again !

So I looked into upgrading to the newest rebug ( D-REX 4.75.3 ) and while looking on the site I finally took the time to read all the stuff listed on the site and saw that PSNpatch will disable some of the features that are needed to boot up some games so it seems I'm out of luck for now :( . Seems like I'll need to ISO burn the game on a disc before I can play some of the games I want to play.

What game are you black-screening with?

Was black screening with MW3, GHOSTS, and semi-blackscreening on Advanced ( would freeze on the logo screen ). Testing it offline not using psnpatch made them run 100% fine. I guess I'll have to spoof my CID and disable CFW using CCAPI then.

Make sure your PSNPatch is updated as that is what causes most of your problems.

Already updated to the latest version Smile. Still get blackscreen errors. Problem is disabling CFW BEFORE going into the game makes it not boot up correctly, so I have to disable CFW from CCAPI using the OFW mode button. Quick question though

Am I spoofing my CID correctly with the way I'm going to do it ( not done it yet ) ? -> Go into the game's multiplayer menu -> disable CFW using OFW mode -> Logging onto PSN using real CID -> changing the CID to 32 0's ? If I'm doing it correctly, do I also need to change the PSID ? Or can that be left untouched ?

Thanks !

You can leave the PSID untouched. Also, try going straight to 4.75.3 and see if that fixes the problem as I have heard that this firmware is very good.

I'll try doing that after this movie ( my internet is abit unstable and can't complete the download right now xD ). I'll see if it fixes it, if not I'll just use CCAPI to play those games. Thanks anyways ! You've been a major help !
