Skip down to the bold text if you don't feel like listening to me complain (LOL) It seems as though I have "missed the bus" for GTA IV PS3 modding and there is nothing but dead links and torrents with 0 seeds available to a pleb like me with no private tracker membership or elevated forum privileges.....

Basically I want to mod The Ballad Of Gay Tony (TBOGT) for GTA IV. I have a CFW PS3 running the latest rebug and I have successfully got Pink house menu running from a backup-copy GTA IV on a USB memory stick via IRISMAN/MMcm. I've got some experience doing this stuff and i know my way around a PS3 decently. I don't play online at all and it's only just for single player mode.

Things I've got:
BLES00229 copy of GTA IV (retail PS3_GAME folder, no disc)
BLUS30127 copy of GTA IV ((retail PS3_GAME folder, no disc)
NPEB00907 copy of GTA Episodes From Liberty City (PSN download, fix 1 and fix 2)

Things I don't have:
BLES00229_E2 (standalone TBOGT game)
BLUS30127_E2 (standalone TBOGT game)
BLES00887 (EFLC retail disc)
BLUS30524 (EFLC retail disc) <------- All of these do not exist on the internet for download anymore, I have been searching for 2 solid days and i consider myself quite handy with BOOLEAN searches..... Also, I live in Thailand, aging PS3 software still costs the same as it did on launch day and sometimes even more here! I refuse to purchase games in this country LOL

And it's also noteworthy to mention that installing mods to NPEB00907 doesn't work as I've already tried that.

Is it possible for me to combine my retail GTA IV copy and my PSN EFLC DLC and make a "frankenstein" complete edition that I can run from USB and install mod menus?

I also had to figure this out for myself seeing how GTA4 modding is DEAD. I'm playing online right now with mods using NPEB00907. You'll want the game fully installed with the two fixes and 1.02 update. Replace the img files located in /dev_hdd0/game/NPEB00907/USRDIR/DLC1/DLC/common/data/cdimages

DLC 1 = The Lost & Damned
DLC 2 = The Ballad of Gay Tony

I replaced the files with major distribution loader v8.1

As for combining GTA IV with the DLC version, I'm pretty sure it's impossible. I myself also asked around trying to figure this so I can easily switch between GTA IV, tbogt tlad. I don't think the complete edition would work either seeing how it only has an EBOOT.BIN and no update.img
