You will need to go to a higher firmware. You cannot play online with 3.55 CFW. I'd recommend downloading 4.75.3 REX from You must login or register to view this content. as that is a fantastic firmware. Scroll all the way down so you can download the file. Click on the one that says 4.75.3 REX, not D-REX.
After that, simply put that file in this directory on a USB: PS3/UPDATE/PS3UPDAT.PUP
The PS3 and UPDATE represent a folder called that in the USB. On the root of it, meaning inside no folders, make a folder called PS3. Then, make another one called UPDATE inside of the folder PS3. Then, drag the file you downloaded from the link I gave you and rename it to PS3UPDAT.PUP
Make sure all files are capitalized that way otherwise it won't work. Then, proceed to the Recovery Menu by turning off your PS3 and doing the following:
1. Hold Power Button.
2. Let go when you hear a beep, then another beep, then 2 rapid beeps.
3. You will be prompted to plug your controller in, plug it in.
Then, go to System Update and it should scan the file on the USB and detect it. Otherwise, you did not setup the USB right.
After it is done, you can go ahead and install You must login or register to view this content. spoofer and you should be all set :p

but i got duplex games that only work on 3.55
