Format ps3 hdd on pc/laptop

Put back into ps3 then install the same cfw via usb that you where on before you messed it up.

Use ps3 right usb port & make sure you have no game in BD drive

Go into the recovery menu and hit option 5 " Restore Ps3 System". That will format your hdd without need of pc. After that's done you will be brought to a screen that says to install last firmware whatever, which will hopefully say youre last cfw syscall. Try to install your last cfw. If it doesn't go through, try to install 999 downgrader and try to install cfw again. If it just never works, you either have a bad bluray or you need to be flashed again and based on what happened (yanked cord during update), I'd say that it has already started to write ofw and you will need to flash it again :(
