What mods are you trying to use. Also most mods do not work on cex

With CCAPI they actually can. Unless you're talking about other PS3 specifics.

Yes, that's what I mean by PS3 specifics such as SPRX, booting files as a .self, etc. Anyways, I wonder if OP got his/her problem fixed by now.
