I have recently had my PS3 CFW'd. I'm a total noob to the cfw side of the PS3. I am running Rebug 4.76.1 Lite.
All I want the console for is to play downloaded games as well as (hopefully) getting Retroarch to run rom's. I don't want to play online.

So basically I need advice for what I need installing so I don't get banned. I have signed into PSN & downloaded all my old games catalog online which may result in me being banned? But as I know literally fuck all about this I am only guessing. If there is a way to be signed into PSN but not be banned that would be good but not essential.

Once you sign into an account on PSN, that account is forever at risk of being banned. You can only prevent being banned by spoofing your psid(account) and cid to 0's everytime you go online, but it is in no way guaranteed to keep you safe. But if you don't plan on playing online, then you really have nothing to worry about, because if they ban you nothing will happen, you just wont be able to do anything that requires psn.

DRObythePoUnD thanks for your help. As I run a risk anyway I may just only sign into PSN to sync. I already have Retroarch installed on the ps3 just need to find time to learn how to use it & config it. Worse case senario is I get banned, buy a PS4 & create a new account, terrible! ha ha
