I'm at my end with what to do on how to fix this can anyone please help me out? and yes i know im a dumb azz

Is your USB formatted to FAT32 are you sure you have spelt things correctly in the folders

yes and yes i used it before to put that same firmware on my system

Make sure your usb is in the right side port..what error are you getting, or what exactly is happening when you try to update?

Did you make a back up of the files you changed? Have you tried connecting with filezila to see if you can connect & replace the original files?

You could try to format the ps3 hdd on laptop/pc then re install same cfw, or if you got a spare hdd try that.

What cfw you on dex or cex?

ypu need to open rebug tool box to change files back wich could not do. but i just used a dex down grader to get back to 3.55 not sure what to do from here tho

i was on 4.75.3 rex

You can get to it if you connect with filezila go to /dev_flash/vsh/resource & replace the files with the OG ones

If you cant connect filezila then install Rebug 4.65.2, it has a RSOD bypass built in so you can boot then replace the files.

im a lil to late for that i used a dex downgrader to down grade to 3.55 not sure what to do from here can i try to install rogero or should i just install cfw i want wich was 4.75.3 rex but was thinkingh of trying drex but i dont want to install anything yet till i know exactly what i should be installing next

So was your ps3 full dex before you messed it up, did it say LV2 kernal & target type both dex in Rebug toolbox??
