(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hi Guys,

I picked up a PS3 which has 4.76 CFW on it, however I'd like to downgrade to 3.55 OFW and re-jailbreak the console myself so I know exactly what's on it.

I've found tutorials online that use Rogero 3.55 Downgrader PUP, however I can't find a valid link for this anywhere! They're all expired :(

Can somebody let me know how I can downgrade my PS3 back to OFW 3.55 so that I can re-jailbreak?

I have no idea, that's the problem and one of the main reasons why I'd like to go back to OFW and start from scratch.

When I turn on the PS3, the splash screen has 'REBUG' written on the right hand side of the screen, so I'm thinking it could be a REBUG firmware, but I'm not 100% sure. All I know is that it's 4.76 CEX

Go to Multiman and look at System Information. Tell me what firmware. I believe you think it is 4.76 because you are using a spoofer. I'd need to know the real firmware version.

Something quite strange is happening. I've downloaded multiMAN and installed it, and went to the System Information tab in it but it's saying "Firmware 0.00".

The only packages showing on the PS3 are MultiMAN and REBUG Toolbox, so I don't believe there is a spoofer enabled

Thank you!

Although apparently I need 'Rogero CEX-3.55 CFW V3.7' too, which is absolutely impossible to find. Is there any other way I can go back to OFW 3.55?

Versions don't matter. Just install the one I gave you.

Go into REBUG toolbox, and change target type to CEX and Lv2 Kernel to CEX. You will need your CEX-FLASH.EID0.NORBIN/NANDBIN on a USB drive inside the right PS3 port of your system. Also make sure qa flag is enabled through REBUG Toolbox. Then try downgrading.
