Post: Modding Vault?

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); For 2 years I've been going in and out of learning how to create PS3 mods? This is because at 1 minute you're doing great and then the next shit breaks and you have nobody experienced to help. I hope others agree with me as well that a lot of the time people who aren't 1337 programmers get shit because they're noobs. That's no way of helping people.

I'm requesting a thread. Possibly stickied. With full related modding documentation.

Now some of you won't understand what I mean by that. I'm basically talking about everything you would see on PS3 Dev wiki. But explained in a better way by people like you and me instead of people who are just referencing sources making it hard for people to understand.

I was talking to Tustin the other night. And in around 3 sentences I learned more about the way modding the PS3 (specifically GTA modding) works than 2 years of Googling and reading complicated references about the PS3.

I'm asking for a noob friendly guide to EVERYTHING. One you can point anybody to when inquiring about modding any game. (also as I said with regards to specific games)

Kind of like the modding vault thread Kyrptus has made, but somewhere where all the experienced modders on here can put all their knowledge, in an easy form that they would have liked to read it in when they first started out, and then anyone who wants to start modding GTA or any other game can be directed their, learn from easy to understand descriptions, then have a section of the documentation for specific games. Such as a GTA one with simple explanation of natives, bypasses, hooking etc.

A lot of the "1337" coders will say lol we don't need this u noob, and link me to some "easy haxing tutorial" where you're taught how to make something but not the foundation of what you're making and how it works.

I'm talking. Descriptions of everything related to modding like EBOOT files, the way memory works with addresses, debugging (yes maybe the debugging would be further down in a more complicated bit)

A ground starting point we can direct everyone to. I would personally benefit from this so much. I would even be willing to put the content into a webpage that could be put iframed in the thread (with admin permission hopefully) by myself providing people would chip in with useful content.

If you got to this point thanks for reading and I hope you understand what I mean, also please don't disregard this as not being worth it purely because you're a 1337 coder, I'm sure some people will see benefit in this.

Cheers

I just checked it. There's nothing explaining about memory, EBOOTS, scripts etc. That's what I wanted a massive vault with all the modding know how... Never mind.

That's why I said one should be created by the experienced modders.
