Update, I manage to get it to work, i messed with switches and started to get bad backups then tried writing knowing it might brick and it worked

it launches normally, it's not changing the nor.bin so it seems, when i backed it up i used the 3rd switch up 3 times they where good, then hit reset button and put all switches down and it says it finished after 7 mins and i've try using different patchers but its the same story, it's not writing and the log show that it is doing everything write it's like mor nor is getting replaced with backup original everytime i restart ps3, or my flasher is not writing over it, cech-2002a. I've flashed alot of ps3's first time this has happened, i haven't done it for awhile but i don't think i'm doing anything wrong, i looked at a tut when it first happened to see if i messed up and i didn't according to them

Is your Nor Clip clean, if not consider using rubbing alcohol to clean it...

No, the E3 doesn't require any soldering... that's an old method of downgrading your PS3... if in future, it does get dirty simply use Rubbing alcohol.

I think he meant if he were to brick it (would have to solder tristate+grnd)

Glad you got it working though OP

yeah bro, i really need to do thermal paste though keeps freezing at random(there is none i shouldn't be using it), when i downgrade people i always replace it (only people i know and free i don't believe in charging because it use to be able to just install modified firmware back in 2010 start of 2011 and because i'm nice)but with mine i had none left lol, it's good though i'll fix that up soon probably when i install new xbox fan i'll do my ps3 as well

Thermal paste is really important... it's good to know that your using it. Artic Silver 5 is the best, however using a cheap one is also good. You just need to keep replacing it... also are you using a laptop fan, since this will also be a good option?
