(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I just saw my private CID posted on a website and am wondering how they got it. I use CCAPI to change my ID's. Is that how they got it? What is the safest way to change ID's? TIA

maybe you have a Rat ( Remote Administration Tool ) on your pc . Maybe you have set your private cid with other tool ( different to CCAPI ) and he have a cid stealer .
For first check your pc if it has a trojan / keylogger ecc

Usually it is an infected RTM tool..sorry to hear that bro I had the same happen to me back in the day. Only use trusted tools and assume all outside sources are rats. Sometimes they make it into the forums just gotta be careful.

Id first make sure to get rid of the infected rtm tool or whatever and then when you think you're safe to change your cid, you can use ccapi to set it.

Did you purchase the console ID from someone or is it an original console ID, and if so, did you downgrade it yourself?

I did purchase it but I don't think it was them. I only used CCAPI to insert it a few times. I use TCM Tool and Garage editor. Could another tool I have tried installed something to infect either of those 2?

You can change it with many methods... consider using CCAPI or PSNPATCH. I normally use PSNPATCH... you can follow this method:

Step 1: Create a .txt document

Step 2: Inside the .txt write idps= write your 32 character long IDPS here

Strep 3: Save the .txt as psnpatch.cfg

Step 4: Put psnpatch.cfg on the root of your USB...

Step 5: Plug the USB into your PS3 then run PSNPATCH

Step 6: Once PSNPATCH is running click "Square" on your controller and click "X"

Did you but the CID(IDPS) of someone? It could be that this person has shared it/distributed it via that website... you can change your CID(IDPS) via PSNPATCH as well. Follow the method below:

Step 1: Create a .txt document

Step 2: Inside the .txt write idps= write your 32 character long IDPS here

Strep 3: Save the .txt as psnpatch.cfg

Step 4: Put psnpatch.cfg on the root of your USB...

Step 5: Plug the USB into your PS3 then run PSNPATCH

Step 6: Once PSNPATCH is running click "Square" on your controller and click "X"

Also note, before you use any tool consider changing your CID(IDPS) first...
