It's currently on 3.70 but because it's not been used for some time it's asking me to update to 4.76.

My question is, if I do the update to 4.76 to test it online before I jailbreak it. Can I still downgrade it once I've put an E3 flasher on it?

You should be able to since it is a PHAT and it can be downgraded to 3.55 and jailbroken.

Just wanted to double check. The fan still seems a little loud.

I drilled holes in the bottom of the case directly under the fan, and also raised it 2 inches using rubber feet.
I just want to give it a good run to make sure the YLOD doesn't come back else I'll get it reballed before I jailbreak it.
