Did you open the .pkg file on the PS3 after installing it?

Yes, but I saw that it said Uninstall so I just left the app.

There seems to be a few people that can't get CCAPI to work... have you tried resetting your router and considering to install it again and reinstall it?

I will try that now and yeah all I see now-a-days is people having problems with CCAPI xD

Nope, it didn't do anything unfortunatly.
I do not want to sound like an idiot but do I need to use cables to connect to my PS3 and PC?
And also is there any alternative to CCAPI because I am new to modding and would like to RTM?

There is. It is called TMAPI. To use TMAPI, you will need to be on DEX CFW and you'll need to have an Ethernet cable from your PC to PS3.

Nah I cant do this sorry as I am on CEX and on a CECHA PS3.

So, make sure you do everything below to see if you can get CCAPI working:

1. Install CCAPI on PS3 + PC.
2. Open the package on the PS3 so it actually installs, don't just install the .pkg file. OPEN it.
3. After you have installed it, get the IP of the PS3.
4. Add it in on the Control Console API on PC.
5. Attempt to connect.

Make sure you have the latest version as well.
